Best Dessert Ever

Quark-Joghurt Creme (Vanilla) with fresh German Blueberries. WOW. Just. WOW. And since the Quark-yogurt was only about .60 euros and the blueberries were 3 euros for 500 grams, this was a steal. I want more. Now.

QUAAAAAAAAARK! I didn't have quark yogurt while I was there. I bet it is AMAZING.

Is that container very squat or is the perspective just weird?

    • Katie says:

The container is maybe 1.5" tall. And 3" in diameter. If I recall correctly.

Shouldn’t you be quoting those measurements in centimeters, like a proper European scientist?

        • Katie says:

I suppose if I was a)proper, b)European, or c) a scientist, I would worry about that. But I was a tourist. And an improper American tourist at that. So centimeters be damned!

I love that this comment confused my mom. Also, just FYI, the white yogurt (not really vanilla) with chocolate bits in it is odd. Get the vanilla. Or the Bourbon vanilla. I can’t see that going poorly…

To Katie and Katie – this is confusing. Do either of you know Simon? She is a renowned author and reference librarian to the stars. When I lived in Germany (6 months in 1975 – age 19), we had dessert 2-3 times a week made of quark, top of the non-homogenized milk-bottle cream, and lemon. I continued to love it every time!

    • Katie says:

I do know Simon, renowned author and reference librarian to the stars. She is now known as Simon, I believe, after a brief stint confusing us all.

That dessert sounds delightful. Did the cream come almost straight from the cows too?

  3. Simon says:

“Reference librarian to the stars…” I LOVE THAT!
